MASSOB Gives SSS 48Hrs To Free Detained Leader

The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, has threatened to take action against the State Security Services, SSS, if its regional leader for Awka North, Mr. Tony Nwodo, was not released from custody within 48 hours. MASSOB, which did not state exactly what form of action it would take if its demand is not met within the stipulated time frame it gave, however told the SSS to accept responsibility for what ever action the group might take. Mr. Uchenna Madu, who is MASSOB’s Director of Information, yesterday disclosed that the SSS arrested and detained Nwodo since last Tuesday on the allegation that he impersonated the Governor of Anambra State – Mr. Peter Obi.
