Ramadan: Senator Saraki Releases N135m For Feeding Of Poor Muslims, Gifts For Kwara Traditional Rulers

As adherents of the Islamic Faith begin the Ramadan fast today nationwide, the Senator representing Kwara Central in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has released N100 million for the feeding of less privileged Muslims at over 50 designated centres within his constituency throughout the holy month. The former Kwara governor also disbursed the sum of N35 million to buy food items as Ramadan gift to all Kwara Obas, Chiefs, Imams and other Islamic clerics with the belief that the gesture would greatly uplift the needy during the fasting period. Bankole Omisore, media assistant to Saraki, stated these yesterday in Ilorin, the state capital.
