Taraba Acting Governor Commends PDP, Jonathan For Finding Solution To Political Crisis

The Taraba State acting governor, Alhaji Garba Umar has expressed deep appreciation to President Jonathan and the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, for helping to resolve the political impasse that erupted in the state following the returm of Governor Danbaba Suntai. Umar made the commendation yesterday in Jalingo, the state capital at a news conference. The acting governor told newsmen that the president and PDP’s intervention helped to re-unite the people of the state, who became divided over Gov. Suntai’s health status. He urged the people to support Jonathan’s administration to enable it to deliver on its mandate. “The president and PDP have asked me to continue in the acting capacity, but that I should be taking instructions from my boss, Gov. Suntai,” Umar said.
