The Nigeria Police Force said it had issued
international red alert on one of the
masterminds of the Nyanya bomb blast, who
is currently on the run.

Spokesperson of the force, who spoke in
Abuja said the step became imperative
following revelations by other suspects in
the custody of the security agency.
“Interpol red alert is an international
request for corporation. It is issued by the
interpol general secretariat of national
bureau of any of member state.
“Interpol red alert of an international
warrant of arrest and consequently it
mandates security forces of the 190
membership to join in the quest and possible
arrest in the interpol red alert.
“We therefore believe with these globe
present interpol red alert, interpol will
galvanize everything possible worldwide to
join in the search and possible arrest of
Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche.”
Also speaking in the joint conference with
the police, Spokesperson of the Department
of State Services, Marilyn Ogar said some
suspects in relation to Nyanya bomb blast
currently in their custody had made useful
statements which would help them.
According to her, Aminu had been arrested
in 2011 over terror related offence, but
released on bail to his father, who is a human
right activist. But whhen his name came up
again on the recent blast, his father was
contacted to produce him, but he could not.
