BREAKING: Saraki loses appeal at Supreme Court, CCT trial must hold

Senate President Bukola Saraki’s bid to stop his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) has failed.

Reading out the judgment of the Supreme Court on Friday, Justice Walter Samuel Onnoghen, held that the Danladi Umar-led CCT was properly constituted to exercise jurisdiction over Saraki’s trial.

“I find no merit in the appeal, it is hereby dismissed,” the court ruled.
